Video

After a trip to the Mojave Desert and hours of shooting into the night, I give you this video. I shot with an a7S iii with ISOs up to 40,000 while using 60 and 120 fps.

50/50 was my senior thesis film where I was the Director of Photography and VFX editor. Businessman John Davis is a family man with a dark secret. By day he is the perfect husband, and by night a gambling fiend. In a series of mistakes, John takes it too far one night and gambles away the family savings set aside for their newborn baby. In a gripping tale of fortune and loss, John desperately must find a solution before his life falls apart. This short won the Grand Jury Award for SDSU's Emerging Filmmakers Showcase.

As the Director of Photography I implemented my experience working as Director of Photography to bring alive the vision I had for the cinematography to fit best with the story. The short made it into SDSU's Emerging Filmmakers Showcase as well as the Best of the Best and Halloween film festivals.

About me

My passion is to create amazing shorts and movies with cinematography. I am from San Diego, California and graduated Cum Laude from San Diego State University earning a BS in Film, Television, and New Media with an emphasis in Production. While there, I was a Director of Photography and assistant camera working with the Canon C300, Sony a7S iii, FS7, F55, RED Raven, Epic, Scarlett and ARRI Alexa Mini.

I currently work at Mad Media, a production company that focuses on off-roading, as an editor and filmer. I edit a wide range of videos from social clips for in-house and clients as well as long form digital Documentaries for off-road races. Additionally, I use the in-house RED cameras to shoot videos including shakedowns and breakdowns of UTVs, How-To's, and multiple off-road races.

Outside of video production, I am a 5th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and have overcome the physical limitation of having multiple hip surgeries. I persevere through challenges and give my most in everything I do. I have taken Taekwondo since 2007 and taught since 2010. I use skills learned in Taekwondo and implement them in my everyday life and work.
